There is so much that has happened these past two weeks that I don't even really know where to start.

My stepsister passed away early on the morning of the 16th. My parents flew down and were given the cold shoulder by the family and his former church.

I had a horrible time trying to cope here, because I too felt I had lost a sibling. Apparently she hated me though and my remaining step-brothers refused to see me. This changed at the end with two, who I now hope I can begin to build relationships with, but only time will tell.

So we tried to make the best of our time there, and do some things together as a family to start healing.

My 32nd birthday dawned cold and miserable.



But once I arrived in Florida that evening, things got better.

Sorry to hear about the family troubles. In my experience, some folks just don't want to change. All you can do is be pleasant and open. They must do the rest.

I'm so sorry to hear about the family issues. Hopefully, everything will go well with the step-brothers and you will be able to have a decent relationship with them.
