That's a lot to have happen in such a short time frame. :(
I can relate to the grandmother forgetting things. My Nonna (she's Italian and I've always called her the Italian name for grandmother) has dementia and it keeps getting worse. She will forget what you tell her at the drop of a hat. She'll ask you the same question within 5 minutes because she will have forgotten the answer already. We keep a day planner for her so she knows what she is doing everyday and can refer to it without having to constantly ask us what is going on.
Let me know if you need a ticket. I can get you a buddy pass on Delta for whenever you want to go. It would be for standby/space available travel. It would probably be around $175 and you can check two bags at no charge. *shrug* Just let me know.
